It was a good 3 days of shopping, food and fun. Shopping was mad (because wholesale is so cheap there). I got to experience bangkok traffic jams and thai massages for the first time. Cheap manicure and taxi rates, and the glorious thai food- tom yum, beef ball noodles, mango sticky rice. The weather's similar to Singapore, just less humid and much more hotter. I could feel the heat burning on my skin when I was walking along the streets. But the items there are cheap, provided you go to the wholesale malls.
Anyway, these are the few places I went to for shopping.
Platinum Shopping Mall.
A definite must go. About 6 floors, and 3 zones, sprawling with shops. The shops are really organised too. Like a few floors for clothes, another floor for bags and shoes, etc. And when you buy wholesale (buying more than 2/3 pieces in a shop), you can purchase it at a cheaper price. So it's best if you go with a friend. For me, I went with my sister. So whenever we go to a shop with clothes we like, we'll pick up 1 or 2 pieces each. So we can get them at wholesale prices :) But you have to find and hunt properly for clothes. My sister and I religiously walked past every single shop, to avoid missing out on good buys.
Wholesale prices are really cheap by the way, like 8bucks for a blouse that can be sold at 20bucks plus back in Singapore. YEAAAAAH~ This is how we shopped like heck in one day, because the items are so cheap, so we buy everything on impulse. But it's worth it compared to shopping in Singapore.
Mah Boon Krong Centre
My hotel was beside this shopping mall, so I went there everyday throughout my stay. I wouldn't really say this would be a good places for clothes. They sell the tech-y stuff there. If you want a place to get your bb housings, iPhone, iPad covers, cameras and all the stuff, it would be a good place to go. The shops there have more of a variety. Sunglasses, bags, shoes, cosmetics, tailors, printing shops, etc. Instead of just clothes alone. So yeah it might get a little boring.
Streets near Siam Centre
I don't know if the streets I went to was near this area. It's located opposite Mah Boon Krong. The streets reminded me a lot of shopping in Seoul. Cos Thailand's heavily influenced by korean/japan fashion, so the theme of these shops there are very similar to Korean retail shops. Anyway, the clothes here are sold at a higher price, mainly because it's more of the youth street area. But still, there are pretty cool stuff that can be bought there ^^
I went to one more place called Siam Paragon, reminded me a lot of takashimaya+ISETAN. It's like the departmental stall kind of mall. Good food at the basement though ^^
Quite a wordy post I would say. And SORRY I DIDN'T TAKE MUCH PHOTOS. I didn't bring my camera out when I went shopping, because it was such a hassle, and all the extra baggage. Heh. I took photos of the hotel room if that counts ahaha. The room had quite a good view of the skyline at night cos it was on the 28th floor. But the photo would end up showing the reflection instead of the view. This is just a day and night photo of the view.

Seee, you can only see the reflection, and not the skyline at night.

AND I STARTED PLAYING TINY TOWER HOHOHO
This trip was a real retail therapy for me. First time that I bought so much clothes in a day. I can't wait for school to start hehe. I don't need to shop for the rest of the semester. My new wardrobe's sufficient to last me for a long time. Also because I get to share clothes with my sister. So new clothes for school, doubled up ^^
