It's the Greatest Time of Year

GREETINGSSSS~
Hope you guys are had an awesome Christmas! Be it in or out of Singapore :)
2011 is finally coming to an end. And this post is going to sound more like a thanksgiving post and it's going to get really wordy. So yes bear with it. I have a lot of things to be thankful for this year. I went to Phuket a few days back, which was good. Cos I was away from all the noise and bustle from school activities. Also, I listed out things that I was so thankful for that happened this year. I also listed out the people I'm so happy I met this year, but that's a little bit more personal.

So yes, here goes, the list of what I am so grateful for that happened.

Posting to Ngee Ann's BS
I honestly had NO plans for BS at all. It was either IBZ or JC route. But yea, guess after talking to people and knowing more about BS, that I really knew where I was heading for. And it was just this one posting, that opened a whole new route of open doors.

Cookyn Inc/Cookyn w Mervyn
I worked at this place during the long break before school started, and during the sem break. I learnt a lot from my workplace, and I am so thankful for Mervyn who gave me the chance to work there. The team has always been friendly, and because of them, my first working experience was so enjoyable :)

28th Coy
I haven't been going back to the 28th during the 2nd half of the year because of all my school commitments. But before that, from Jan-June, I was involved back in 28th. Helping out in drill comp, enrolment, ATC camp. I really miss the GB girls, the officers and Ms Foo. And I hope next year when everything changes, I'll finally be free to go back and help out again. Cos it was GB that made such a significant change in my KCP life :)
Went to Ms Foo's place for a christmas lunch today, and yes, I really do miss 28th a lot.

NPSU FOC
My very first camp, even before I started my journey in NP. I met amazing GLs and the awesome luxuria. I can still say that no school camp I've attended can ever beat the bond I had with luxuria. Though now we're all on our own separate ways, I am still so glad that I met them. Because of them, I entered to NP knowing people. And they were my very first group of friends in NP. FOC really inspired me to find a place in NP. To meet new people and to find a meaning in my journey of 3 years.

BA Society
I have to say, through Society, I met so many of my close and good friends. And it's not just the SCOs that I'm talking about. But my SCs too. If not for BA Society and Group 3, I wouldn't have met my SCs who are such a loving bunch of awesome friends. I honestly CAN'T WAIT for BAOW to start, because of all the plans that are installed for Group 3 BAO :)
I'm really prepared for BAOW. Because I have Seth and Jacq, and my entire group of awesome SCs to work with. And I know this journey will be more than just prep for BAOW, but a journey to form a family :)

BA Envoys/ EF Crew
I think the main thing I am so grateful for in Envoys, is EF Crew. EF Camp just ended a few days ago, and the entire process of EF Camp was one shitload of a tiring marathon. We started planning the camp the NIGHT we met as a crew. But the process allowed us to create so many memories. We sang songs, we did push ups, we had our 2 camp trials, we had our trips to BTP/KAP for grocery shopping, we did proposals, we edited and edited and edited and finalised it a million times, we went on for 2 days straight with less than 2 hours of sleep. We are the kungfu crew and I love you guys. I won't exchange this experience and the memories for anything. You guys taught me many things in so many different ways, and I learnt a lot about myself when I work with you guys. Honestly, you are the perfect crew to work with, and are nothing short of awesome :) This journey passed too fast, in a snap, an entire sem was over and so was EF Camp. I will never forget crew, you guys are the best :)

iDARE
iDARE was probably the only adventure camp that I attended besides stupid kota tinggi in sec3 where we only trekked the mountain. But everything in iDARE was really memorable, from the activities, to the people, to the performances, everythinggg. I got to know more people and for those that I already knew, I got to know them much better. It was just different from the usual school camps, the people, the activities and even the iDARE spirit.

RED Camp/ Ninjas
YESSS I shall talk about my RC8 experience here. I haven't been going for ninja outings at all because it always clashes with my other commitments. But I have to say, being in ninjas was a really good experience for me. Working together with people that I don't even have time to warm up to, but yet being able to have things done so smoothly. I really respect those Ninjas SLs who stuck by ninjas for the past few years, because RC isn't the most easiest thing. Having to really take out time and energy, and to even take care of us the new SLs, was probably quite a challenge. But I liked ninjas a lot, because we didn't have conflicts, and everybody was so warm and welcoming. In other words, Ninjas was just so damn genuine ^^
Also, through ninjas I made new friends and got closer to some. And also not only in ninjas, but also even the SLs in the other tribes. It was really nice to see familiar faces even outside ninjas.
Best part, was having campers. I haven't gotten the time to meet any of the subtribe 8 campers, but I felt so happy when they told me they enjoyed RC8. It was just heartwarming to see them being appreciative of your efforts and seeing how this camp changed them. It was really touching to see the campers enjoy themselves so much :')

I wouldn't say 2011 was life changing.
But I would say that out of my entire life of existence, 2011 has to be the year that I was so blessed with opportunities. The opportunity to be in so many things, to meet so many amazing people, to create such unforgettable memories.
But 2011 has also been the most challenging and tiring year. I've had my own times when I felt like just giving up and throwing away everything on my shoulders, but no, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. And I guess that's what pushed me so far. I learnt a lot about myself in 2011 and 2011 has really made a me physically, mentally and emotionally stronger.

I know 2012 won't be the same anymore.
But I would like to thank God for all the opportunities given to me this year, and the people He has blessed me with :)

Mhh that's all I have to say for now, so I'll end the post off with a video from christmas eve, where I spent it with the girls. My next post will be about my Phuket trip, and here is just one photo to show you how beautiful it was. Just so you know, this photo is entirely raw and not edited AT ALL.

Till then, hope your 2011 has been as great as mine :)
