House of Film

Explored Singapore with abby and lijie yesterday. Armed with 6 cameras, 1 DSLR, 1 film SLR, 1 holga, 1 fisheye and 2 polaroids.

We went to SOTA, LASELLE, bugis, haji lane, city hall, CHIJMES and town

Besides travelling from haji to city hall, and from chijmes to town. We walked by foot alllll the way. Visited a few galleries along the way too. I didn't know S'pore was so small ._.

NOW, I'm gonna show you the FILM PHOTOS. I always loved film photography, especially the grainy vintage effect. Taking photos and anticipating how it will look like after being developed.

1) Abby's fisheye cam! (it's actually her friend's)

2) Claria's holga (lijie borrowed it from her)

None of us knew how to use holga. So the double exposure effect was quite a failure.

The fail photo.... you can see arab street and my face in the middle. Sigh.

3) My film cam! I uploaded photos of it in my previous blog. Last time I used it was when I went out with Sarah yim earlier this year. Never brought it out again because I had to go buy new batts. This film cam belonged to my dad, it's over 30 plus years old. I may not know everything about lenses and exposures, focus and shutter speed. But to me, photography is just the way you let the world see pictures from your point of view.

Much more photos can be found in my photo albums on facebook :) It was a really awesome day spent with them. We explored the place, by foot. And BAM, we pass by something really cool. It was my first time visiting art galleries too, never thought I would find galleries this amusing.

I really enjoyed myself with the two of them yesterday.

Went out with oli, adam, ernest, jeremy and yongen for kbox today.

Going to meet my group 3 members for the BBQ tomorrow.
